Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL A Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including dump trucks, light duty vehicle, moving machinery and various types of trailers. This role requires a commitment to delivering freight efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Duties
Operate and drive assigned vehicles, including dump trucks, light duty vehicle, moving machinery and various types of trailers.
Execute route driving to deliver equipment and materials to designated locations in a timely manner.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
Handle material and equipment loading and unloading as required, ensuring proper securing of cargo.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in route driving is preferred.
Familiarity with operating various truck types such as dump trucks, and trailers.
Strong understanding of safety regulations related to freight transportation.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
