Vac-U-Jet is looking for dependable, safety-minded Class A CDL Drivers to join our team in Williston, North Dakota.
We are busy and have steady work available. This is a strong opportunity for a CDL driver who wants consistent hours, substantial overtime, excellent benefits, and free housing.
We are especially interested in applicants from Missoula and Western Montana who may be open to relocating to Williston. Employee housing is available at no cost as part of the job.
Pay & Schedule
- $30–$32 per hour, depending on experience
- Overtime available and expected
- Typically 8–10 hour days
- Usually 5–6 days per week
- Current workload is heavy, so applicants should be comfortable working overtime
- This is a full-time Williston-based position; we are not currently able to offer rotational schedules
For someone looking to work and earn, this position provides the opportunity for significantly more hours than a standard 40-hour CDL position.

What You’ll Do
Our CDL drivers perform a combination of potable water delivery and septic pumping, depending on daily workload.
Responsibilities may include:
- Operate Class A commercial trucks safely and professionally
- Deliver potable water to customer locations
- Pump and transport septic waste
- Operate pumps, hoses, valves, tanks, and related equipment
- Safely load, transport, and unload liquid loads
- Understand how liquid movement and surge affect truck handling, braking, cornering, and stopping distance
- Complete vehicle inspections and report mechanical or safety concerns
- Maintain trucks and equipment in clean, safe working condition
- Connect, pull, carry, and handle water and septic hoses
- Climb in and out of trucks repeatedly throughout the day
- Work around mud, water, septic systems, odors, and outdoor job sites
- Complete required paperwork and communicate with dispatch and customers
- Follow company safety procedures and DOT requirements
Safety Is a Priority
These trucks and the equipment on them are significant company assets, and safe operation is extremely important.
We are looking for drivers who:
- Take care of the equipment they operate
- Understand that a loaded liquid tank handles differently than a standard freight load
- Adjust speed appropriately for road, weather, traffic, and load conditions
- Allow additional stopping distance
- Avoid aggressive braking, cornering, and unnecessary risk
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Speak up when equipment needs attention
Experience driving tankers or other liquid loads is highly preferred, but we are willing to train the right CDL driver who demonstrates strong judgment and safe driving habits.
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Safe and responsible driving habits
- Ability to pass applicable DOT requirements
- Ability to safely operate large commercial vehicles
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Ability to pull and maneuver heavy hoses
- Ability to climb in and out of trucks frequently
- Ability to work outdoors in North Dakota cold, heat, wind, mud, and changing weather conditions
- Dependable attendance
- Willingness to work overtime and a 5–6 day workweek as needed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred, but not required:
- Septic pumping experience
- Potable water delivery experience
- Tanker or liquid-load driving experience
- Oilfield, construction, vacuum truck, hydrovac, agricultural, or similar heavy-truck experience
We will train the right person. If you are a solid Class A CDL driver with a strong work ethic and safe driving record, we encourage you to apply even if you have never pumped a septic tank.
