Job Summary
We are a New Company in Daytona Beach, FL seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining the integrity of the freight and ensuring timely deliveries. (Pay is percentage of linehaul rate, paid weekly)
Duties
Operate Conventional Tractor with Hopper Bottom trailer
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs for hours of service, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status, potential delays, or issues encountered on the road.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures as well as federal and state regulations related to commercial driving.
Experience
Proven experience in truck driving with a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Familiarity with various types of truck operations including route driving and freight handling.
Experience operating specialized vehicles
Strong understanding of safety protocols in transportation and logistics.
