Join our team as a Class A CDL Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including flatbeds, landolls, lowboy’s and heavy duty rollbacks, while maintaining compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across various locations.
- Load and unload freight and equipment with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery schedules and handle route adjustments as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving.
- Familiarity with operating tractor-trailers, including flatbeds, landolls, lowboy’s and heavy duty rollbacks.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely.
- Knowledge of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight, dangerous goods, and specialty loads.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient deliveries.
- Strong understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA guidelines related to commercial trucking.
