Duties
- Safely operate tractor-truss roll-off trailers primarily in ND. Drivers are home each night.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Navigate routes using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks, trailers, and cargo to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries, report issues, or delays promptly.
- Perform light duty maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving with manual transmission vehicles.
- Knowledge of logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading procedures, and freight management.
- Familiarity with flatbeds, forklift operation preferred
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, and safety protocols for truck driving.
- Ability to handle manual tasks such as load securing and cargo handling efficiently and safely.
- Excellent route navigation skills using GPS systems for route planning on OTR routes.
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks required for loading/unloading freight; must pass health requirements as per DOT standards.

Pay: $27.00 – $36.00 per hour
