Now Hiring – Class 5 Driver
Location: 2345 Alyth Road SE, Calgary (on a bus route)
Note: Star will be moving to a new facility at 292109 Prime Close, Rocky View County, AB (behind the Century Downs Racetrack/Casino in Balzac). This new location is not on a bus route.

Requirements:
Completion of high school, able to read, write, and perform basic math
Minimum 3 months of delivery experience
Valid Class 5 license and satisfactory driver’s abstract
Satisfactory criminal record check
Physical assessment clearance
Attention to detail, good hand/eye coordination, situational awareness
Ability to kneel, crouch, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 24’ on rooftops
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with building materials
Manual transmission operation
Trailer maneuvering
Crane operation experience
Rigging and load securement experience
Job Overview: Reporting to the Yard Manager, responsible for delivering building materials to customer sites, loading, transporting, and manually unloading materials.
Your Daily Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service
Load trucks safely and efficiently
Verify shipping documents
Deliver materials using the most efficient route
Follow safety procedures and operate equipment properly
Maintain equipment condition
Communicate effectively
Handle relations tactfully
Plan and organize loadings
Problem solve and make decisions
Use apps for safety, inspections, proof of delivery
Operate delivery units courteously and legally
Work Conditions: Mostly outdoors, exposure to hazards, weather, heights, noise, occasional weekends/evenings, overtime during busy seasons.
