Job Description
AIM Recycling Dartmouth has an immediate need a Class 1 Driver . The candidate will be responsible for the pick-up and/or delivery of various metal products using different types of AIM assets.
Pick up and/or deliver to AIM’s commercial clients or another AIM site;
Secure the loads;
Tarp the load, if necessary;
Keep the equipment clean and in good working condition;
Perform a daily inspection and pre trips;
Keep reports up-to-date;
Always work in a safe manner.
Other labourous and operating duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Self Loader experience considered an asset
The position also requires operating or some light physical labour
Qualifications
Class 1 licence required
Good drivers abstract;
Minimum two (2) years experience
Aptitudes Requested:
Follow all laws and regulations, in regards to driving truck;
Responsible, careful and alert at all times;
Willing and able to perform labour intensive tasks;
Good knowledge of roads
Additional Information
Full time and permanent position;
Overtime paid at time and a half after 48 hours.
