STV Civil Engineering Specialist – Los Angeles, CA
STV currently has an opening in our Los Angeles, CA, office for a Civil Engineering Specialist (0-3 years’ experience) in our Transportation & Infrastructure division. This role involves producing construction documents, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and various studies and reports for roadway, rail, utility, and site development projects, including design projects for public agencies.
Responsibilities
Support junior and senior staff on interdisciplinary projects, prepare documents for design/bid/build and permitting, assist sub-consultants, and monitor budgets, schedules, and quality control.
Assist in designing roadway and rail alignments, cross sections, grading, drainage (hydraulics and hydrology), utility, traffic control plans, and other infrastructure and site work.
Interact with client management teams, engineers in other disciplines, and marketing teams.
Use software such as Bentley Micro Station, InRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Auto Turn for civil design work.
Preferred Skills & Experience
BS/MS in Civil Engineering; EIT Certification preferred.
0+ years in transportation, highway, or related engineering fields.
Experience with AutoCAD, Bentley Micro Station, Microsoft Office, and GIS.
Support management and provide technical expertise in areas like roadway/highway/rail design, alignments, traffic engineering, pavement design, drainage, utility systems, stormwater calculations, hydrology, hydraulic modeling, and grading design.
Compensation Range
$63,986.16 – $85,314.88
