Overview
I am seeking a reliable Truck Driver. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating a tractor trailer truck, relating to local port work. This role involves transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
Safely operate trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo information as required by regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Valid TWIC card.
1-2 year experience
Able to get approved with the third party leasing company
Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
— 2018 Freightliner Automatic Truck.
—1-2 years of experience. Port experience needed and should be able to get approved by third party leasing company (TTSI).
—Must have a valid CDL and TWIC.
—Clean driving record and background.
—Will be hired as an independent 1099 employee. Pay is calculated 50/50 after subtracting tolls and fuel.
—Monday-Friday local driving in the Norfolk/Chesapeake/VA Beach area
—Truck yard located Chesapeake 23321.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,000.00 – $1,500.00 per week
