Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating 9 car hauler. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of freight to our customers while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Duties
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by the company.
Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual handling techniques as necessary.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Skills
Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
Ability to operate forklifts safely for loading and unloading cargo.
Strong understanding of delivery driver responsibilities and logistics operations.
Excellent navigation skills with a good sense of direction.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and compliance with safety standards.
