We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight efficiently and safely while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Duties
Operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Navigate assigned routes effectively while adhering to delivery schedules.
Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered during transport.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to trucking operations.
Skills
Proficient in truck driving with experience in operating manual transmission vehicles.
Familiarity with different types of trailers, including refrigerated trailers and dump trucks.
Strong route driving skills with the ability to navigate efficiently through various terrains.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required.
