Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to delivery schedules. Applicants must have 3 years verifiable Class A CDL experience.
Duties
Operate and drive trucks of various types, including flatbed and occ dry van, to transport freight.
Securing the load properly and ensuring the safety of the cargo
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
Pre-Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered during deliveries.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Skills
Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps for efficient route planning.
Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
