Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, and excellent driving skills. The Truck Driver will operate different types of vehicles including truck-trailers, and flatbeds, ensuring timely delivery of freight while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Duties
Operate various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, roll-off trucks, and tankers.
Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and deliveries.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck.
Experience
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Familiarity with route driving practices and regulations.
Experience operating different types of trucks such as dump trucks, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, or tankers is preferred.
Ability to handle freight safely and efficiently.
Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
