Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to handle various types of freight, including refrigerated and flatbed loads.
Duties
Operate trucks with manual transmission, ensuring safe and efficient transport of goods.
Execute route driving to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight during transit.
Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including refrigerated trailers for temperature-sensitive shipments.
Utilize forklifts as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle inspections.
Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
Skills
Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
Familiarity with route driving and navigation skills to optimize delivery efficiency.
Experience in loading and unloading freight safely and effectively.
Knowledge of operating tractor-trailer units, including refrigerated trailers and flatbeds.
Ability to operate forklifts safely in various environments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols while on the road.
Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
