Join our dynamic team as a CDL / Percentage Pay Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, and flatbeds, following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient route planning and timely deliveries across OTR routes
- Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and proper securing of materials when applicable
- Transport goods, or dangerous goods while complying with regulations
- Manage truck loading and unloading processes, including freight handling and documentation accuracy
- Maintain communication with dispatch using GPS navigation tools to stay on route and report any issues promptly
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to manual transmission driving, truck loading/unloading, and handling logistics cargo
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with relevant endorsements
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or route driving with a focus on freight transportation
- Familiarity with flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and hazardous materials regulations
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely over long distances
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazard communication standards, and dangerous goods handling
- Strong skills in GPS navigation for route planning and real-time adjustments during deliveries
- Experience in truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling
- Excellent manual handling skills for safe load & unload operations in compliance with safety standards
