What You’ll Do
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Transport and deliver materials or freight safely and efficiently to designated locations
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Ensure cargo and equipment are properly secured before and during transport
- Follow all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures
- Complete required paperwork, delivery documentation, logs, and electronic records accurately
- Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, deliveries, delays, equipment issues, and changing conditions
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers and job-site personnel
- Assist with loading, unloading, or securing materials as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained truck and equipment
- Report accidents, safety concerns, mechanical problems, or other issues promptly
- Manage time effectively and complete assigned routes and deliveries reliably
- Represent the company professionally while on the road and at customer locations

Maintain clear communication with dispatch and management throughout the workday and keep required documentation current and accurate.
Teamwork
Work cooperatively with drivers, dispatch, mechanics, customers, and other team members to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations
- Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient delivery schedules
- Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and security during transit
- Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following all hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate route adjustments or address delivery issues

- Valid Class A or Class B CDL, depending on position
