Job Overview
We are a masonry company seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting equipment and materials safely and efficiently to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage routes effectively.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a variety of trucks, including dump trucks and semi.
Load and unload freight as required, ensuring all cargo is secured properly for transport.
Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and operational readiness.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transport.
Drive manual transmission vehicles as required by specific job assignments.
Skills
Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills.
Ability to operate various types of trucks, including those with manual transmissions.
Experience loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently.
Familiarity with safety regulations related to commercial driving.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
