Shift schedule varies anywhere from 5:30 am to 7:00 am start.
Assist in the warehouse 20% of the time.Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle locally.
Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting up 50 lbs. during physical loading/unloading of trucks.Currently hiring a Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver / Warehouse to deliver and unload finished products, parts and materials to our customer locations. Assist in the Warehouse as needed to receive, store and distribute inventory.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate different routes while adhering to delivery schedules.
Duties
Operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, tankers, and roll-off trucks.
Ensure the safe and timely delivery of freight to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo handled.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Utilize manual transmission when required for specific vehicles.
Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Skills
Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver with a strong understanding of route driving.
Proficiency in operating various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, tankers, and roll-off trucks.
Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles confidently.
Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining logs and records.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
Capability to operate forklifts safely when loading or unloading cargo.
