Overview
We are looking to hire a CDL driver with a tanker endorsement to transport our cement pumps and tankers to job sites and the cement plant. Other duties while not on the road will entail assisting our mechanics in the shop to service our vehicles and lightweight concrete cement pumps. Bilingual is a plus, but not necessary. We work throughout the state of Florida and overnight stay may be required at times.
Duties
Operate tractor-trailer units for the transportation of freight across designated routes.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
Navigate routes using GPS technology while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Operate forklifts as needed for loading and unloading freight.
Drive manual transmission vehicles as required by specific job assignments.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
Familiarity with operating tractor-trailer units and tanker trucks is a plus.
Ability to load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to truck driving and freight transport.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
