Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage loading and unloading tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
Operate tractor trailer safely
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle service, and cargo information.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
Manage manual transmission vehicles as required by specific routes or loads.
Requirements
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated.
Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently.
Experience with loading and unloading procedures for various types of cargo.
Familiarity with safety protocols related to transporting hazardous materials is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
