Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong understanding of freight handling, as well as the ability to operate different types of trucks, including flatbed, tanker, and refrigerated trailers. The Truck Driver will ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain the integrity of the cargo throughout the journey.
Responsibilities
Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, to transport freight to designated locations.
Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are handled with care.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo details in accordance with DOT regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving on public roads.
Utilize manual transmission when required for specific loads or routes.
Operate forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading freight at various locations.
Requirements
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a good driving record.
Experience operating dry van and refrigerated trailers is preferred.
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations in the trucking industry.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills for maintaining logs and records.
Familiarity with using GPS systems for route navigation is an advantage.
2 years of having your cdl
No DUI in the last 3 years
Be able to drive 8+ hours in a day.
