Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires proficiency in operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, and roll-off trucks.
Responsibilities
Operate trucks with manual transmission, ensuring safe handling of the vehicle during transport.
Drive various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, tankers, and refrigerated trailers.
Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption as per DOT regulations.
Follow all traffic laws and company policies while on the road to ensure safety for yourself and others.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required.
Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
Familiarity with different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, tankers, and refrigerated trailers is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to load and unload freight safely while adhering to weight limits and safety standards.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
