Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle different types of freight, including tanker, flatbed, refrigerated trailers, and dump trucks.
Duties
Operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, tankers, and flatbeds to deliver freight to designated locations.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo while adhering to all safety regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and any incidents that may occur during transport.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Drive manual transmission vehicles as required by specific routes or loads.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road to ensure safety for yourself and others.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience as a delivery driver or in truck driving is preferred.
Ability to operate various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and tankers.
Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
