Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires proficiency in operating various types of tractor-trailers. The Truck Driver will also be responsible for loading and unloading cargo as needed.
Responsibilities
Operate commercial vehicles and transport goods to designated locations.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of freight.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Handle manual transmission vehicles with proficiency, ensuring smooth operation during transit.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safe loading/unloading practices.
Strong understanding of manual transmission operation is essential.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
