CDL-A Intermodal Regional Truck Driver | Twice-Weekly Home Time | Up to $1,500 Weekly
Job Summary:
We are hiring experienced CDL-A Regional Intermodal Drivers based in Chicago, IL, and surrounding areas. This position offers steady freight, consistent home time, and competitive pay, with routes covering Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana.
Position Details:
Home Time: Twice a week
Shift: Both day and night shifts available
Weekend Work: Required if scheduled
Holiday Work: Runs on scheduled days
Routes: Regional, limited inner-city driving
Equipment: Intermodal containers
Responsibilities:
Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and in compliance with DOT regulations
Transport freight on assigned regional routes
Handle intermodal freight efficiently with rail yards
Maintain accurate logs and documentation
Communicate effectively with dispatch and fleet managers
Pay & Bonuses:
Weekly Pay: $1,100 – $1,500 based on experience
$3,000 Transition Bonus
Night Differential Pay: Additional $0.06 per mile
Weekend Differential Pay: Additional $0.12 per mile
Load Pay: $20 per load
Additional pay available for specific cases
Requirements:
Valid Class A CDL
At least 3 months of recent CDL-A driving experience
Must be comfortable with winter weather driving and Chicago traffic
Must live within 75 miles of hiring zip codes
Hiring Areas:
Illinois: Chicago
Iowa: Cedar Rapids, Cedar Falls, Waterloo
Wisconsin: Menasha, Neenah
