Class A CDL Driver – Home Weekly; Touch freight

Job Summary:
Join our dedicated account based out of Ashley, IN, with consistent weekly home time and competitive pay. This is a physically demanding role requiring drivers to unload freight box-by-box using rollers across IL, IN, MI, and OH. New hires will complete a one-week ride-along with an experienced driver, paid at $150 per day.
Requirements:
Experience: minimum 4 months of recent driving experience
Customer Service: Strong customer interaction skills required.
Physical Endurance: Must be comfortable unloading by hand and working in extreme temperatures.
Flexibility: Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.
Training: One week of ride-along training with an experienced driver (minimum of 3 loads).
Pay & Compensation:
Mileage Pay (Based on Experience): $0.80/mile – $0.86/mile
Unload Pay: $325 per unloaded trailer
Backhaul Pay: $30 per backhaul
Training Pay: $150 per day (1 week)
Expected Weekly Pay: Drivers running 3 loads and 1,100 miles per week average $1,850 weekly
Average annual earnings: $96,200
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver dry freight to stores within IL, IN, MI, and OH (within 500 miles of Ashley, IN).
Hand unload boxes using rollers at each stop.
Maintain excellent customer service when interacting with store staff.
Back into tight delivery areas and small lots.
Adapt to varying delivery schedules, including early morning deliveries.
Follow DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs.
Home Time & Schedule:
Home Time: Home weekly for a 34-hour reset (weekends not guaranteed).
Shift: Early morning deliveries – drivers will often drive to the first stop the day before and take a 10-hour break.
Work Days: Deliveries are Monday through Friday, with Monday loads picked up on Sunday.
34-Hour Reset: May occur on the road depending on the delivery schedule.
