Responsibilities:
Safely operate a Dry van tractor-trailer truck to transport general freight across designated routes.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods while adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking mechanical and safety equipment.
Maintain electronic logs and records of driving activities according to DOT regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and logistics team to coordinate delivery schedules and routes.
Handle documentation such as bills of lading and delivery receipts accurately.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Hold a current and valid Class A CDL or 30 days remaining on current CDL.
Must have a current valid DOT physical with at least 30 days remaining on the current medical card.
Pass a DOT pre-employment screen and all Orientation Training Requirements.
Successfully complete the road test.
No FMCSA Drug or Alcohol Violations (including positives/refusals) in the last 5 years. Violations older than 5 years will require review.
Drivers Work History Guidelines:
6 months or more of verified experience in the previous year.
Or, 12 months of verified experience in the previous 3 years.
Or, 3 or more years of verified experience in the previous 10 years.
Experience operating a combination CMV with a minimum 40-foot trailer.
Verifiable experience must be as a local, regional, or OTR driver. Verifiable experience does not include Driving School or Private Roads. Military experience must be verified.
No more than 6 driving jobs in the last 3 years.
