Overview
Urgently Hiring for Recovery Drivers!! If you are an experienced CDL‑A Driver looking for a change of pace, C.R. England is hiring OTR Recovery Drivers. This is a full‑time position with drivers staying out 3‑4 weeks at a time with home time 3‑4 days. Drivers recover equipment (tractors – trailers) across 48 states. They may encounter breakdowns and occasional delays, and may team 5‑10% of the time to reach a shop or to seat a truck.
Responsibilities
- Drive recovery vehicles across 48 lower states.
- Operate new, well‑maintained sleeper tractors with automatic transmissions, hauling both dry van and refrigerated trailers.
- Manage breaks and performance, including stop pay, detention pay, layover pay, and CPM/CPM split for teams.
- Coordinate with rental car providers and be willing to fly frequently; responsible for fuel of rentals when needed, with reimbursement.
- Support 70‑hour work week with 34‑hour reset at home, 24/7 operation including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL.
- 21 years of age or older.
- 3 months or more recent Class A CDL experience.
- Cell phone capable of taking pictures of trucks and emailing them to the Fleet Manager.
- Ability to obtain and operate rental cars; willingness to fly frequently.
