CDL-A Local Shuttle Driver | Lafayette, IN | Dry Van & Step Deck Freight | Home Daily
We’re hiring CDL-A drivers within 50 miles of Lafayette, IN for a local shuttle route hauling a mix of dry van and step deck freight. This full-time role is ideal for experienced flatbed drivers who want weekday work, steady hours, and daily home time.
Weekly Pay & Bonuses
Average Weekly Pay: $1,250–$1,500
New Hire Bonus: $500 paid on your second paycheck
Referral Bonus: Up to $3,000 paid in milestones
Overtime Pay: Time and a half after 40 hours
Route & Schedule
Local shuttle runs based out of Lafayette, IN
Occasional short-haul deliveries to surrounding areas
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekend work available based on plant needs
Schedule provided weekly by the customer
Home daily
Freight & Equipment
Freight: Primarily skids and crates; van freight is no-touch
Combination of dry van and step deck trailers
Trucks: 2016–2023 Kenworth day cabs
On-site parking at facility
Requirements
Valid CDL-A license
At least 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
6 months of verified flatbed experience in the past 3 years
Securement training required (chains, binders, etc.)
Must be available to work weekends as scheduled
Orientation required (held in Atlanta)
Assigned truck (not a slip-seat position; subject to change)
