CDL-A Local Flatbed Driver | Lafayette–Monticello Shuttle | Weekday Schedule
We’re hiring CDL-A drivers with flatbed experience for a local shuttle route running between Lafayette and Monticello, IN. This is a great opportunity for drivers who want weekday work, consistent home time, and specialized freight experience with a respected manufacturing partner.
Weekly Pay & Bonuses
Weekly Pay: Average $1,350–$1,620, depending on daily trip volume
New Hire Bonus: $500 paid on your second paycheck
Referral Bonus: Up to $3,000 paid in installments
Position Overview
Route: Shuttle runs between Lafayette and Monticello, IN
Trip Structure: Each round trip starts in Lafayette with a live load, drops in Monticello, picks up a completed unit, and returns
Miles: ~50 miles per round trip
Trips Per Day: 2–3 round trips expected
Home Time: Home every weekend (and potentially some nights depending on home location)
Schedule
Monday–Friday
Summer Hours: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Winter Hours: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Some Saturday work may be required based on freight volume
Equipment & Freight
Trucks: 2016–2023 Kenworth fleet
Trailers: Double drop flatbeds
Freight: CAT engines, gensets, radiators, and doghouses (some oversized)
On-site truck parking available
Requirements
Valid CDL-A license
Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer experience
At least 6 months of verified flatbed driving within the past 3 years
Securement training required (must include chains and binders)
Comfortable with oversize and specialized equipment handling
