CDL-A Local Flatbed Driver | 3rd Shift | Lafayette, IN | Home Daily + Weekly Pay
We’re hiring CDL-A flatbed drivers within 50 miles of Lafayette, IN for a local shuttle position on 3rd shift. This full-time, overnight role involves hauling high-priority freight between CAT locations, offering consistent schedules, home daily, and excellent weekly pay.
Weekly Pay & Bonuses
Average Weekly Pay: $1,850–$2,000+, including available overtime
New Hire Bonus: $500 paid on second paycheck
Referral Bonus: Up to $3,000, paid in milestones
Overtime: Paid time and a half after 40 hours
Position Overview
Schedule:
3rd Shift: Thursday night through Monday morning
Typical hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (may vary slightly based on plant needs)
Home Time: Home daily
Route Type: Intra-city shuttle runs in Lafayette, with occasional local deliveries to nearby sites
Freight: CAT generators, engines, radiators — all live load/unload
Trailer Types: Primarily step decks, with some double drop trailers
Parking: On-site at the Lafayette facility
Driver Requirements
Valid CDL-A license
1 year of tractor-trailer experience
Minimum 6 months of verified flatbed experience within the last 3 years
Must have experience with strapping, and securement using chains and binders
Securement training required
Available to work weekends as needed
Must attend orientation in Atlanta
Assigned truck (not slip seat; subject to change)
