Location

4424 12th Street Extension, West Columbia, SC 29172

Schedule

  • Sunday through Friday, start time between 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. until the work is done.
  • All drivers receive two consecutive nights off every week, and everyone gets Saturday off.
  • Generally, you’ll work between 40 to 45+ hours per week based on the routes available and the restaurants we serve.

Competitive Pay

  • Guaranteed minimum 40-hour pay between $1,400 to $1,700 per week based on driving experience.
  • Overtime will be paid for hours worked over 40 hours per week.

Equipment

  • Tractor:
    Brand new Kenworth T680 automatic tractor with leather, air ride seats; truck GPS; rear and side view cameras when reversing
  • Trailer: 48” Great Dane with electric side lift gates and tandem lights over rear tires
  • Power Sleds:
    Battery-powered pallet jacks
  • Mobile Devices:
    Samsara devices with a mobile app and ELD charging in the cab
  • In House Maintenance Team:
    Chick-fil-A Supply onsite mechanics

Responsibilities

  • Make safe, timely deliveries within established restaurant delivery windows
  • Unload and stage product at 4–6 restaurants per shift
  • Complete all pickup and returns (pallets, carts, etc.) and properly submit paperwork
  • Upon return to the DC, assist in unloading the truck and putting away equipment

Safety

  • Keep vehicle clean and report maintenance issues
  • Operate within hours-of-service limits per ELD
  • Maintain an acceptable CSA record
  • Follow pre- and post-trip inspection and DVIR reporting procedures
  • Regularly audit vehicle registration, permits, insurance, IFTA, and other documents
  • Follow FSMA policies for safe food transport
  • Maintain acceptable MVR in compliance with DOT requirements

Communication and Care

  • Lead with care, exhibiting honor, dignity, and respect
  • Build relationships with Restaurant Operators to learn best practices
  • Collaborate with team leaders before and after trips to assess unload time and improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • Education:

    High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)

  • Driving

    Experience:

    1+ years Tractor/Trailer Experience

  • DOT and Company Policy:
    Meet all DOT requirements, at least 21 years of age, Class A CDL, complete DOT Clearing House, pass MVR, drug test, and background check, no preventable DOT accidents in past 3 years, limited moving violations, reside within 60 miles of the distribution center

Extreme Temperature and

Physical Requirements

  • Can work in extreme temperatures (–10F to 100F); work nights; usually in all weather conditions
  • Lift up to 65 pounds per case; may move up to 2,000 pounds with assistance

Travel

  • 5% travel for operator/market visits, supplier visits, and conferences

Language

  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Safe, professional driver with passion for customer service; prior food service (key drop) delivery experience
  • Team player with ideas for continuous improvement; compliant with CDL A policies
