We are a Freight Company seeking a highly motivated Carrier Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with trucking carriers, negotiating competitive freight rates, and ensuring timely and efficient freight movement. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, have strong negotiation skills, and thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and Maintain Carrier Relationships: Develop long-term partnerships with trucking carriers to ensure reliable freight coverage.
Negotiate Rates: Secure competitive pricing with carriers while maintaining company profitability.
Book and Track Shipments: Ensure timely pickup and delivery by coordinating with carriers and providing real-time tracking updates.
Provide Excellent Service: Communicate effectively with carriers, addressing any issues or concerns to maintain strong working relationships.
Expand Carrier Network: Source and onboard new carriers to diversify and strengthen IBX Freight Services’ logistics network.
Market Freight Opportunities: Match available shipments with carrier capacity to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Monitor Industry Trends: Stay informed about market conditions, fuel pricing, and transportation regulations to make data-driven decisions.
Ensure Compliance: Verify carrier credentials, insurance, and safety ratings to meet company and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with Sales and Operations Teams: Work closely with internal teams to align carrier capacity with customer demand.
Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise with carrier partners, ensuring seamless freight movement and client satisfaction.
Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely sales reports, tracking key metrics such as carrier acquisition, rate negotiations, and performance.
Technology Proficiency: Utilize company CRM and other software tools effectively to manage carrier relationships, track performance, and report on progress.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
