🧩 Key Responsibilities

• Lead or be part of consulting engagements to define vision, target operating model, and transformation roadmap for freight forwarding, customs management, and logistics operations.

• Work closely with freight forwarders, logistics providers, shippers, customs brokers, and global trade teams to understand current-state pain points, identify process bottlenecks, and define a pragmatic TO-BE process blueprint enabled by CargoWise.

• Drive functional discovery workshops across core CargoWise process areas such as:

o Ocean freight forwarding

o Air freight forwarding

o Customs brokerage and declaration management

o Shipment booking and execution

o Consolidation / deconsolidation

o Documentation and trade compliance

o Billing, rating, invoicing, and financial settlement

• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and solution design inputs for implementation teams.

• Advise clients on standardization, harmonization, and process optimization across geographies/business units while balancing local operational and regulatory nuances.

• Support CargoWise implementation programs from strategy and design through build, test, deployment, hypercare, and stabilization

Define and validate master data, reference data, business rules, workflow configurations, operational roles, and reporting needs required for successful CargoWise adoption.

• Partner with client business teams and Infosys technology teams to ensure the proposed solution aligns with business objectives, operational realities, compliance requirements, and scalability goals.

• Facilitate conference room pilots, functional testing, UAT, defect triage, and readiness reviews to ensure the solution is business-fit and deployable.

• Support change management and user adoption by helping create SOPs, business process documentation, role-based training inputs, and transition support materials.

• Conduct value scans and process assessments across freight forwarding and customs operations to identify improvement opportunities in productivity,

cycle time, shipment visibility, compliance, customer experience, and cost-to-serve.

• Work with clients to define integration touchpoints between CargoWise and upstream/downstream systems such as ERP, finance, customer platforms, carrier systems, customs portals, tracking platforms, and data/reporting systems.

• Bring consulting-led recommendations on operating model design, process redesign, transformation prioritization, and phased rollout planning for regional or global CargoWise programs.

✅ Mandatory Skills

MBA from Tier 1 or Tier 2 B-school with minimum 10+ years of experience or B.Tech with equivelent experience in logistics, freight forwarding, customs operations, warehouse or transportation domain.

The candidate should possess the following:

• Strong domain knowledge of international freight forwarding and customs management processes across air, ocean, multi-modal, and brokerage.

• Strong hands-on functional understanding of CargoWise with exposure to multiple implementation, rollout, enhancement, or transformation programs.

• Proven experience in working as a functional consultant, business process lead, SME, product owner, or program lead in CargoWise-led engagements.

• Strong knowledge of end-to-end logistics processes including:

o Customer quotation and booking

o Shipment planning and execution

o Carrier coordination

o Consolidation and deconsolidation

o Customs filing / customs brokerage support

o Documentation management

o Milestone visibility and exception management

o Billing, rating, invoicing, and financial controls

• Experience in conducting business process assessments, fit-gap analysis, blueprinting workshops, solution design, and operating model discussions.

• Strong understanding of how CargoWise interacts with surrounding enterprise and ecosystem systems including:

o ERP / finance platforms

o CRM / customer service tools

o Carrier / airline / shipping line connectivity

o Customs / regulatory interfaces

o Data warehouses / BI tools

o EDI / API / middleware platforms

• Good understanding of master data, transactional data, reference rules, compliance controls, and business reporting in logistics operations.

• Prior experience in regional or global process harmonization and multi-country rollout programs is strongly preferred.

• Ability to conduct workshops and engage confidently with senior client stakeholders to discuss business transformation, process redesign, functional blueprint, governance, KPI improvement, and adoption strategy.

• Exposure to customs regulations, trade documentation, country-specific logistics nuances, and operational compliance requirements is highly desirable.

⭐ Preferred Skills

CargoWise platform certification / training is an added advantage.

• Certification or specialization in Logistics, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, Customs Management, or Global Trade is preferred.

• SAFe / Agile certifications such as CSPO / SAFe PO-PM are an added advantage, especially where the consultant has played the role of Product Owner / Business Lead / Functional Lead in transformation programs.

• Any certification in change management, business analysis, or process excellence will be an added plus
