Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Cargo Van Dispatcher to coordinate and manage day-to-day logistics operations. This role is responsible for sourcing freight loads, planning transportation routes, dispatching drivers, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of freight brokerage platforms, routing software, and transportation compliance. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Source and secure cargo van loads through load boards, brokers, and direct shipper relationships
Develop and optimize daily transportation schedules for maximum efficiency and profitability
Dispatch cargo van drivers and provide them with route information, load details, and delivery instructions
Monitor driver locations and load statuses to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
Serve as the main point of contact for drivers, addressing any in-transit issues or delays
Maintain accurate records of load information, delivery times, and mileage
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards
Coordinate with clients, brokers, and internal teams for scheduling, updates, and problem resolution
Analyze routes, fuel usage, and driver performance to recommend improvements
Maintain strong relationships with freight brokers and logistics partners
Requirements
Proven experience in dispatching, freight logistics, or transportation coordination (cargo van experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of load boards (e.g., DAT, TruckStop, etc.) and transportation management systems (TMS)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to changing needs
Familiarity with DOT regulations and transportation compliance
Tech-savvy with basic proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and mapping tools (e.g., Google Maps, Waze)
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics or a related field preferred
Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.

Pay: $1,000.00 – $1,500.00 per week
