Back Office Bermuda provides outsourced business operations support to small and medium-sized businesses in Bermuda. We help clients with day-to-day administration, customer communication, sales support, invoicing, bookkeeping coordination and operational follow-up.

We are hiring a full-time Business Support Manager to join our Lisbon-based support team. This is a paid, full-time role supporting Bermuda-based client accounts through Back Office Bermuda. This role suits someone experienced, organised, commercially aware, and comfortable managing competing priorities.

You will report to the Head of Operations. The role is fully remote to start and may transition to a hybrid Lisbon office model over time. Applicants must be legally authorised to work in Portugal.

 

Role Details

Title: Business Support Manager

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

Start Date: 1 September 2026

Work Type: Full-time

Contract Type: 12 months, annual renewal

Working Hours: Aligned with Bermuda business hours (12-9 PM Lisbon time)

Salary: €45,000–€55,000 gross annually, depending on experience level

Travel: Willingness to travel to Bermuda approximately twice per year

What You’ll Do

You will support a small portfolio of Bermuda-based client accounts through Back Office Bermuda. The work is varied, practical, and fast-moving.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple inbound inquiries by email, phone, WhatsApp, and CRM
  • Qualifying inbound leads and passing them to the right team member
  • Handling and routing service requests
  • Creating and sending quotes and estimates
  • Preparing and sending invoices
  • Following up on quotes and outstanding invoices
  • Keeping customer records and folders accurate and up to date
  • Coordinating shipping logistics, working with freight partners and updating clients and internal teams on progress
  • Liaising with third-party partners and helping move projects forward when things get stuck
  • Supporting light HR admin, including onboarding and offboarding paperwork

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who has already worked in business support, operations, client service, office management, sales support, or administrative management.

You should be:

  • Highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Confident speaking with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Proactive, practical, and comfortable solving problems
  • Commercially aware and able to understand what needs to happen next
  • Comfortable working across multiple companies and priorities
  • Clear, professional, and warm in written and spoken communication
  • Experienced enough to take ownership from day one
  • Interested in growing with the company and potentially helping manage a team in the future
  • Excellent at business-level English – written and spoken

Experience with the following tools is preferred:

  • HubSpot  
  • Monday.com 
  • QuickBooks
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
