Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Development Manager with 4-5 years of relevant experience in the shipping and freight forwarding industry. This role, based in Singapore, focuses on driving sales, managing key client relationships, and expanding our customer base within the Singapore market. The ideal candidate will have excellent sales expertise, strong industry knowledge, and the ability to create tailored solutions to drive growth and meet our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to promote our services within the Singapore market.
Identify new business opportunities and generate leads in the shipping and freight forwarding sectors.
Build and sustain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of services and meet client expectations.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and challenges.
Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business targets.
Attend client meetings, events, and market assessments as needed, with occasional travel to meet clients.
Qualifications And Requirements
Gradute with a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales within the shipping or freight forwarding industry.
Strong understanding of logistics, freight operations, and international shipping procedures.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-driven, with the ability to work independently and manage the Singapore market with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, able to adjust sales approaches based on market insights and trends.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with clients in the Singapore market is highly preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
Salary Package
Up to SGD 6,000 per month (based on experience).
