Role Description

This is a full-time permanent role for a Business Development Manager, Myanmar. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for hunting, identifying, winning and pursuing new business opportunities and customers in Myanmar. The role involves leading the engagement and growing assigned customers, building and maintaining relationships with clients, preparing quotations and proposals, developing sales plans and strategies, and achieving sales KPIs (revenue, volume and gross profits).

Key Responsibilities

Proactively identify potential clients and untapped partnership opportunities

Hunt, win and generate business leads through network, cold calling and leveraging CRM tools

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to win new business

Build new relationships in an effort to grow business and help company expand

Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients to move them through the sales funnel while addressing their logistics needs

Negotiate contracts and close deals that align with company objectives

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery

Think critically when planning to assure project success

Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities

Qualifications

Proven 5 years or more experience in business development and sales

Strong customer facing, business development or commercial experience in freight forwarding, logistics and supply chain, shipping, or air cargo industries

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients

Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

Working knowledge of freight forwarding and/or logistics related operations and selling process

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good records in execution of successful sales development strategies

Proactive, self driven and able to multitask

High level of honesty, integrity and ethics

Fluency in English and Burmese

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field

Experience in the Myanmar market
