DISPATCHER – BROKERAGE & BACKHAUL
Greenville distribution company seeking Dispatcher for team, specializing in Brokerage and Backhaul
Salary $55-$65k
Duties
Work with a variety of Freight Brokers and Third-Party logistics providers to secure profitable freight opportunities.
Negotiating freight rates .
Proactively sourcing freight in specific markets
Serving as the primary point of contact for contracted backhaul customers, ensuring smooth operations and resolving any issues.
Identifying empty lanes within our network and maintaining a detailed tracking list to prioritize backhaul opportunities.
Collaborating with Fleet Management to understand and overcome any restrictions that may impact backhaul execution.
Qualifications
Track record of securing profitable freight rates.
3+ years of previous experience in the Transportation Industry, specifically in dispatch or brokerage roles, is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with brokers, customers, drivers, and internal teams.
Prior experience working directly with Freight Brokers and understanding brokerage operations is preferred.
