We are seeking a dependable, professional, and safety-conscious Box Truck Driver to join our team as a W-2 employee.
This position operates a company-provided box truck. You do not need to provide your own vehicle.
As a Box Truck Driver with Destination Express LLC, you will safely transport freight and customer shipments to businesses, warehouses, and other delivery locations. Deliveries may include pallets, auto parts, manufacturing products, packages, large cargo shipments, and other freight.
We are looking for a driver who can work independently, communicate effectively with dispatch and customers, safely handle and secure cargo, and complete pickups and deliveries accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided box truck for pickups and deliveries
- Pick up and deliver pallets, freight, packages, auto parts, manufacturing products, and other cargo
- Load, unload, arrange, and properly secure freight
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the company vehicle
- Verify shipments, addresses, quantities, and delivery information for accuracy
- Follow dispatch instructions, assigned routes, and customer delivery requirements
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding pickups, deliveries, delays, or other issues
- Obtain required signatures and proof of delivery
- Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, and other material-handling equipment as required
- Report vehicle defects, maintenance concerns, accidents, cargo damage, or safety issues promptly
- Keep the company vehicle clean, organized, fueled, and ready for operation
- Follow applicable traffic laws, safety procedures, DOT requirements when applicable, and company policies
- Provide courteous and professional customer service at pickup and delivery locations
- Handle customer freight carefully and professionally
- Represent Destination Express LLC professionally at all times
