We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle different types of trucks, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and tankers. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
Operate various types of trucks including dump trucks, flatbeds, and tankers for the transportation of freight.
Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with traffic regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and functionality.
Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road.
Skills
Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
Familiarity with route driving and delivery driver responsibilities.
Ability to handle freight safely and efficiently.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices.
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
