Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Boarding Agent. The Boarding Agent will work the entire Mississippi River from Point a la Hache to Port Allen, but will have flexibility for some remote work. The Boarding Agent will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the arrival and departure of vessels, managing communication between vessel master and the port, arranging deliveries with vendors and suppliers, and preparing, submitting, and managing vessel documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize duties efficiently
- Detailed-oriented mindset
- Experience in vessel or marine industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new computer systems
