Job Overview
Small locally owned company seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. Mix of dry van and container freight. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and timely of pickup and delivery of freight to our customers while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. 1 year minimum experience required. This is a local position and home daily.
Responsibilities
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload freight as necessary, utilizing forklifts or other equipment when required.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and deliveries made.
Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while following all traffic laws.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated.
Proven experience as a truck driver with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
1 year verifiable experience required
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills with a commitment to punctuality.
Must pass background checks and drug screening as required by company policies.
Dedicated newer model truck that can be taken home with approval.
