Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Auto Freight Broker. The Auto Freight Broker will coordinate auto transport shipments by sourcing carriers, negotiating rates, and matching customer orders with available capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing freight bookings, monitoring shipment status, handling dispatch communications, and resolving service issues promptly. The role also involves maintaining strong customer relationships, updating clients on delivery progress, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with company procedures. The Auto Freight Broker will collaborate closely with drivers, carriers, and internal team members to support safe, timely, and cost-effective deliveries.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Freight Brokerage and Brokerage, with experience arranging auto transport and negotiating competitive rates.
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills, including clear communication, conflict resolution, and a client-focused mindset.
- Candidates should possess Dispatching skills, such as coordinating schedules, tracking loads, and communicating effectively with drivers and carriers.
- Candidates should possess Account Management skills, including maintaining ongoing client relationships, handling inquiries, and ensuring repeat business.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include knowledge of auto transport industry regulations, basic understanding of logistics software or TMS platforms, and strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Prior experience in freight or logistics, particularly in auto transport, is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required, and additional education in business or logistics is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple shipments simultaneously, and maintain accuracy under time pressure.
