Overview
Join a growing corporate bank in Hong Kong as an Associate – Export Bills Operations, handling end‑to‑end processing of export bills collection and negotiation. This role suits an experienced trade operations professional with solid knowledge of UCP/URC/ISBP and loan processing who enjoys detailed documentation work and close coordination with front and back‑office teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Process export bills collection and negotiation transactions, including documentation checking, AML‑related processing, trade and term loan handling, acceptance, unpaid items, settlements and L/C advising/transfer.
- Check export‑related documents independently with minimal supervision, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with UCP, URC and ISBP rules.
- Maintain and improve department service quality and work efficiency through disciplined processing, proactive issue resolution and continuous workflow refinement.
- Work closely with related departments (e.g. front office, credit, operations) to strengthen operational efficiency and ensure all work is performed in line with internal procedures and external regulations.
- Support the Head of Operations by taking on ad‑hoc assignments related to export bills, loans and trade operations as required.
Requirements
- Form 6 graduate or above with at least 5 subjects passed in HKCEE/HKDSE, including English.
- At least 3 years’ relevant operations/processing experience in the commercial banking industry, with hands‑on exposure to export bills, loan processing and trade operations.
- Good working knowledge of UCP, URC and ISBP, and familiarity with trade loan and term loan processes.
- Proficient in PC operations and common office software.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Mandarin.
