About the Role –

This person will assist in managing shipping operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams, overseeing inventory management, tracking shipments, handling documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The assistant also supports in resolving shipping issues, optimizing routes, and implementing logistics strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the role requires monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and reporting to senior management.

Responsibilities –

Must have good understanding of Ocean / Air / Road freight operations, documentation and network connections with operators

Clear Understanding of Pricing, RFQs, Cost Optimization and Analysis

Excellent Understanding of Import / Export Processes and Regulations / Permits for Food, Apparel, Pharma etc.

Should have previous experience handling multiple agents – Setting KPIs, Performance Review, Cost Analysis

Must be able to negotiate and manage existing agents and continually share insights or ideas on Cost Optimization

Must have handled a team and should be good in stakeholder interaction and engagement

Must be able to prepare basic SOPs and process flows for the stakeholders or team members to understand. So a knowledge on Visio/ Analytics (excel intermediate level) is a requirement

Qualifications – Graduate in Logistics / Supply Chain. PG holders in same discipline will have an added advantage.

Required Skills

Good To Have – Experience in Running Projects pertaining to Process Improvement and Process Flow Mapping

Previous Experience in Retail in a TL or similar role
