JOB TITLE: Assistant Manager – Key Accounts (Consumer & Retail)

JOB LOCATION: Karachi

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The position holder will be responsible for managing & developing strategic customers (MNC & large national customers) . As a Key Account Manager, you will act as the primary contact for a portfolio of strategic accounts, ensuring their logistics needs are met through strategic planning and seamless execution. You will collaborate with internal product teams across business units to align services with customer expectations, drive growth, and deliver operational excellence.

To achieve Set Revenue Targets, Growth, Profit and Customer Services plans.

Must be capable of selling the full range of DP World Logistics services and products to customers

Responsible for maintaining and developing the business in the light of customer operations strategy in line with business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies

Ensure efficient management of the business, extending the service portfolio to acquire new business opportunities and provide support in a timely and accurate manner

Ensure development and implementation of service programs in response to current and changing customer requirements.

Ensure coordination with specialists from various logistics operations to guarantee integrated, cost and time-efficient logistics processes

Develop improved operational techniques for value-added services

Seek opportunities and lead their implementation to drive extension of operational services

Make proposals to optimize and monitor processes related to customer order processing, shipping and returns

Study issues, determine opportunities and introduce best practices for customer operations, focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.

Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with customers by ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction continuously.

Timely customer complaint correction and enquiry response.

Management and retention of defined customer portfolio.

Actively plan, prepare and realize sales calls for better customer retention and new business acquisition.

Conduct surveys and market intelligence gathering to assess, target potential business prospects and review competitor behavior.

Work closely with the operations team, finance team and management.

Prioritize activity and apply a teamwork approach to converting prospective customers into profitable revenue for the company.

Identify a rolling program of 25 prospective accounts every month.

Action all administration duties and provide accurate Sales Reports (Weekly / Monthly & Quarterly) to the management in a timely manner.

Manage, develop and train staff, establish and monitor goals, and conduct performance reviews.

WHAT YOU BRING (Skills, Qualification & Experience):

Graduate in any field (preferred MBA)

PIFFA Diploma (preferred)

Solid & demonstrated working knowledge of the 3PL Industry

Strong negotiable skills

Sound knowledge of vertical markets specific to the Pakistan market.

Sound knowledge of trade lanes specific to the Pakistani market.

Ability to drive strong execution of initiatives, ensuring that the customer and network offices get things right the first time through questioning, analyzing, planning and follow-up.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines

Sound computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate with customers, carriers, network offices.

He / she can speak and write English fluently – additional languages are a bonus, but not a must.

Freight forwarding experience is mandatory.

Minimum 5 years of experience of leading a sales team

Must have proven sales record.
