Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for an Apprentice Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery position to work within 30 miles of the distribution warehouse in Frankfort, IN.
Compensation
The annual salary range is $85,000 per year, which includes:
Activity-based pay (miles, stops, case unload, etc.)
Typically  miles per week
$1,300 per week Guarantee
Work 45-60 hours per week

Work Schedule
This is a 24/7 delivery operation; some routes include weekends and/or Holidays
Days and start times will vary; work until work is completed, typically 10-14 hours per day
Routes awarded by bidding board daily, based on seniority; typically takes 1-2 years to access most desirable routes
Approximately 1-3 layovers per week; overnight stay in a company-paid hotel
Make 5-10 stops per day;
Routes cover KS, NE, IA, MO, OK
Must be flexible with work schedule, which may change based on business needs
Training:
Two-week in-office paid orientation, followed by 10-12 weeks of on-the-job driving/delivery training
Responsibilities
Route delivery, driver unload, lift-gate, pallet jack, curve ramp, and 2-wheel hand cart
Touch freight, case delivery of food-grade products to warehouses and end-users
Drive CDL A day cabs with 53′ trailers to transport materials and equipment to route destinations
Secure pallets using straps and/or bars; load securement at every stop
Document pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Manage hours of service (HOS) and ensure DOT compliance
Provide excellent customer service
Check mechanical aspects of the vehicle
Report maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers
Requirements
No CDL driving experience necessary; new graduates encouraged to apply
Prior delivery driving experience highly preferred
Must meet DOT requirements to obtain CDL (Satisfactory MVR, medically qualified, proof of residency)
Must be able to obtain DOT card, pass pre-employment and criminal background screening
Be in excellent physical condition to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, and pull for extended periods
Able to work in various environments and conditions: hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical
Be able to lift, push, pull 15-20 pounds without assistance
