Description
We are seeking Aircraft Maintenance Team Leads to join our team at Avelo Airlines, a new high value/low fare airline expanding across the U.S. You will play a key role in creating an airline that our Crew members are proud of by delivering excellent customer experiences and reliable execution.
Purpose: As an Avelo Aircraft Maintenance Team Lead, you will ensure the safe, compliant, on-time, and efficient maintenance of Avelo aircraft at the line maintenance level. This involves coordinating aircraft maintenance, providing guidance and support to Crew members, and fostering a culture of safety and teamwork, with transparent communication to Maintenance Control and colleagues.

Responsibilities:
Maintain an understanding of the maintenance program.
Coordinate and execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance workloads.
Take ownership of the shift operation and communicate openly with team members and leadership.
Ensure Crew members are trained, competent, and qualified.
Manage materials by requisitioning parts accurately and identifying stock deficiencies.
Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) program and promote a ‘Safety Always’ culture.
Requirements:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required.
At least 2 years of line or heavy maintenance experience at a Part 121 Air Carrier.
One-year leadership experience in a line maintenance or shop environment.
Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, troubleshooting, and MEL procedures.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead, mentor, and instruct crew members effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. for a distance of 10 feet.
Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather.
Preferred:
Boeing Systems Familiarization courses.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. as per the Immigration Act of 1986.
