Air Logistics Warehouse Associate Jobs in Windsor Locks, USA at Jobtailor
Responsibilities
- Load and unload Express packages from air freight containers to and from semi-trucks in a widely dispersed area.
- Sorting, scanning and movement of small packages within the warehouse.
- Buildup / Breakdown package containers ready for outbound/inbound flights
- Removal of tie-downs and other gear when loading and unloading
- Operate air freight handling equipment such as pallet jacks and gaylords (push carts)
- Weighing, labeling, or make/break-down of gaylords or air freight containers
- Check air express containers for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents as appropriate per air safety and security guidelines
- Report to position on time, as scheduled, including mandatory overtime requirements, varying shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Successfully complete required computer based and on the job trainings
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standards
- Perform all functions in accordance with safety procedures and policies
- Work outdoors with exposure to extreme weather/elements, engine noise, and noxious fumes
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or international equivalent required
- One-year experience in similar role preferred not required
- Valid Driver’s license
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and holidays.
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language
- Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aids.

Demonstrates proficiency in loading and unloading air freight packages, adhering to safety procedures, and operating handling equipment. Capable of performing tasks in varying weather conditions while maintaining compliance with company policies and air safety guidelines.
